Eyers Hitch Center's Rich History

In 1967, Cecil Eyers was searching for an excellent business to start. He knew it had to be something related to automobiles, where his talents and interests lie.

He was in the market for getting a trailer hitch installed on his car to tow a boat he had just purchased, and the only place around that could do the job was pretty far away. As he was observing the hitch and wiring getting installed on his car, he was struck with the idea that HE could do a better job of the installation, and the idea for a new business was born.

He contacted the manufacturer of the hitch installed on his vehicle, who agreed to personally train him on all aspects of trailer hitch installation. Because Cecil has always enjoyed an excellent aptitude for anything mechanical and had welding and repair training in the Navy, he learned quickly and soon excelled at his craft.

The business took off soon after he opened its doors. Eventually, he brought his family in to help him run it. Over the years, he added more towing products and services to the basic hitch and wiring work.

Where We Are Today

That was way back in 1967, and the Shop is still strong today. Cecil's son, Eric (who now has almost 40 years of experience himself), runs the Shop when Cecil is taking time out for his favorite hobbies of fishing and hunting.

Cecil and Eric have worked hard over the years to build a reputation throughout the Bay Area as the finest Trailer Hitch installation shop.

They enjoy seeing all their repeat customers return when they need more hitch work done and meeting new customers to add to their trailer hitch family.
